Senator John Kerry has made his 4-month combat tour in Vietnam the centerpiece of his bid for the Presidency. His campaign jets a handful of veterans around the country, and trots them out at public appearances to sing his praises. John Kerry wants us to believe that these men represent all those he calls his "band of brothers

For more than thirty years, most Vietnam veterans kept silent as we were maligned as misfits, addicts, and baby killers. Now that a key creator of that poisonous image is seeking the Presidency we have resolved to end our silence.
Senator John Edwards: "If you have any question about what John Kerry is made of, just spend 3 minutes with the men who served with him."

The Kerry campaign featured the photograph in an advertisement released in May titled Lifetime. Swift Boat Veterans for Truth has contacted surviving members of this group to find out how many actually support John Kerry, and discovered that of 19 Swift boat skippers pictured other than Kerry, 12 consider him unfit, 4 are neutral, two have died, and 1 is working with the Kerry campaign. Four other officers were not present for the photo session; all oppose Kerry.
Only 1 of John Kerry's 23 fellow Swift boat commanders from Coastal Division 11 supports his candidacy today.

June 1, 2004, Swift Boat Veterans for Truth sent a
cease and desist letter to John Kerry for
President, Inc. on behalf of 11 officers shown in the
photograph, pointing out that using their images in a
campaign advertisement "wrongfully and incorrectly
suggests their present endorsement of his candidacy."
Lanny Davis announced on the
air that "the Swift Boat Vets that put out the ad &
book , all
our liars."

Senator Zell Miller and other Staunch Democrats look at the Democrats they supported in the past Like Al Gore in 1988 look at the Democrat he was back then, look at the Democrat Jimmy Carter ran as in 1976, look at Democrat Bill Clinton was when he ran 1992. this Democrat party today has drifter far far to the left. They have become completely beholding to these left liberal special interest groups for whom they depend on for money and for man power.
Senator Kerry has 4 months service in Vietnam it was heroic service and we must never forget that but he also had 240 months of the service in the United States Senate, it hasn't been heroic and we must never forget that either. This is the man that has voted against every weapon system that we needed to win the Cold War, that we use now to fight against terror. If John Kerry had prevailed back in the 1980's instead of Ronald Reagan we would still be in the Cold War. We would still have the soviet Union, the Berlin wall would still be up.
"They were ask what are the Democrats doing right"?
They are doing very little these days on the National Level. You still have allot of Democrats specially in the South scatter through out the Nation who are doing things right, like Senator Joe Lieberman his is doing things right, Senator Evan Bayh from Indiana is doing things right, Senator Ben Nelson from Nebraska is doing things right. their is allot of moderate Democrats doing things right but they are not in leadership position. The Democrat Party in the last 4 1/2 years has been the party of Kerry, Edwards, Daschle, that are far far left of the American People, it is so far left that it is off the chart.
If you look at the complete votes of John Kerry over the last 20 years in the Senate you will see he voted to cut every single one of the weapon system that has won the Cold War and we used to fight the war on terror today. That is just the fact.
This is also the man that is talking about doing something about intelligence. When he was on the intelligence committee the 6 years he served they had 49 public hearings he missed 38 of them, he didn't even show up for work or listen to what was going on.
The Republican Party has become the Party of Hope, Opportunity, Responsibility like Bill Clinton talked about in 1992. The Republican have become the Party of division, they are the ones practicing division as hard as they possible can trying to divide this country.
Look at the Democratic Primary that went on in Iowa and in New Hampshire if that wasn't dividing the country we don't know what was. It was during in the time of war.
It used to be that Politics stopped at the water edge.
That was the way it was in the F.D.R. and Harry Truman days. Harry Truman got the Marshall Plan through, because of Republican Author Vandenberg Senator from Michigan, who helped him.
John Kennedy and Richard Dixon came together to support the Marshall Plan, you had a bi partisan ship back then not the kind of division you have right now.
Ronald Reagan gave his speech at the DNC Convention but when he got back to his hotel room and looked in the mirror he looked at a person who once been an embryo who was protected why he became an adult human being.
